Vader, how do you get Metal Slug 3 to work? I can't play it
on any emulator, I have finished the other 3 Metal SLug
games though, great stuff.

Ha ha, I wondered how long till Jedi Chris commented ;) I
can't wait for GTA 3 on PC. Top notch and it'll play like a
dream on my monster PC .

Oh, I've been playing Thrill Kill on the Psone and also
Tekken Advance on the Gameboy Advance.

Sgt: Just in case you didn't know a welsh software house has
bought the rights to develop those (and a lot of other old
spectrum games) on the Gameboy Advance. Being a retro fiend
I can't wait.

I had both those games on my spectrum, but I think my
favourite of that "type" of platformer would have to be
"subterranian nightmare" a blatent rip-off, but very good,
varied screens and quite hard. I used to have nightmares
about this massive blue creature I saw in a hidden room in
it. Also have you checked out all the unofficial jet-set
willy games? There are loads of them! Good fun though. Just
out of interest have you ever completed any of this sort of
early platformer *without* using cheats? They're so bloody
hard. Thanks for reminding me about them, I'm going to
download them later.

Jonesy: Yes I do, I've been playing the arcade version of it
on Mame recently.

Hey! That's great! I'd like to see that stuff being played
again!
I spent months trying to complete Jet Set, and in the end
had to use the cheat.
You had to get all the moves just right, and there were so
many ways to die.
They'd be great on the Gameboy though...
I remember a bad Mario rip off the Maria sisters!...

I've played most versions of Street Fighter over the years
its been around! Street Fighter II Turbo was one of my
favourites. Ryu is the main man ... Skullomania is cool too!

Im currently on the 12th game of the season and plan on
taking the cowboys all the way in NFL2k2. Im also very into
the street figther games. Specaily Cap VS. SNK2. As for the
old school emulators. I just fineshed Phantacy Star 4 for
genesis and had been playing the translated Secret of Mana 2
(sweet game!).

I took Cap VS. SNK2 back to the store - I was so
disapointed! It was too much like the older versions of
Street Fighter. The classic Street Fighter games are good,
but I thought for what is cost, it wasn't worth it.

Amusingly, there was a bootleg of Maria sisters that ran in
the Quake (1) engine as a mod a few years back. I've just
been playing JSW2 for the PC it is still so hard!
