words we speak and indeed ourselves will follow...

The Jaff is a great character, I just love the way Barker
takes a hokey storyline and characters out of a King novel
and elevates it to a better body of work.

Barker used to be awesome..wonder why he went all hippy
like?

Well, I read Galilee, and all his other stuff... late on he
has gone a bit weird, but wtf he was never normal.
Have you read Everville man?

btw you should try some W.S.Burroughs
Jarwoski...Barker*1000 to the nth

offline Jarworski from The Grove (United Kingdom) on 2002-02-13 00:31 [#00086942]

Oh fuck Imajica nearly put me off him for life. I did the
first book in, looked at the second one and read an SAS book
instead.
But Galilee is good... Everville is the follow up to G&SS
and while not as good is still interesting...plus it's part
of a trilogy (last part and some Hellraiser stories come out
next year)

Burroughs probably the only author around now that I keep
thinking about reading and never do...

Good starting point?

Barker's books of the dead are good. Rawhead rex scared me
silly when I read it whilst doing my laundry in the middle
of the night.

but she gave up after a few pages.

Hmm, I wonder how that third Art book is coming along....
