A quick google on "Naks acid" shows: "The Sony PSP game, Wipeout Pure, features an excluisve track by Aphex Twin called Naks Acid. Wipeout Pure will be available on March 24th in the US" |

Aphex one is pretty mediocre, sounds like he knocked it up in half an hour :-/ Breakdown at 1.34 is nice, but no other real stand out, "nice detail!" bits like you get in most of his work. Even for a racing game it's overly repetative. Ta for posting it though. LFO one is much better, some really rich sounds in it. Nice to hear something so glitchy in a "commercial" setting like a videogame. Good build on it and the change at 1.50ish a good break. The xylophone type synth sounds a bit "plinky" for such a track (reminds me of sounds from Jet Set Willy on the Speccy). That really tense, fast "ner-ner-ner" has a nice urgency to it. |

Listening to the aphex one again, my main criticism would be how thin it sounds, although the composition isn't bad, when you've got a track as minimal as this, you'd hope the acid synth would be a bit fatter. It's almost like he wrote it with some nice reverb and stuff added, then forgot to enable them in the "render to wav" stage. |

wow, another dull acid track. i'd like to change the qoute... "come on you cunts, lets have [somethingotherthan] aphex acid" I'm sure the speakers on the PSP suck so there probably wasn't much done in the mastering department, so why bother. i hope analord 6-11 minus 10 sound better than this. |

For a racing video game I think the tunes are quite good specially the LFO track untill now the only game I played with half decent music was REZ for Dreamcast. |

Naks acid is shit and I'm glad it's not on a proper release. FluShot however is a natty little track and it's a shame it's not on a proper release. |
