...to think that when i was halfway through grade school
and listening to heavy metal, i could've been listening to
the like of cylob and aphex twin. i've been listening to
this "idm" and braindance for about 4 years i'd say, but i
wish i got into it earlier.

oh well, at least you still have it to enjoy and to look
forward to. like, i still have so many aphex albums to get,
i still anticipate each time i get a new album what it will
be like. it's like there is a new album release every time
i buy a new album... joey

I've only been into it for a little over a year, and I'm 19.
I caught on slow... only found out Aphex existed when I got
into the internet, which was recently.

That's ridiculous that you feel gutted about not listening
to this stuff earlier. At least you found it! And think of
all the stuff that you'll never hear in your entire life...
the millions of songs which either you will never hear for
one reason or another, or the songs that people write in
their bedrooms which could be the best thing you've ever
heard... the only reason to feel bummed about not getting
into something earlier is if you discover a band who've
split up then really want to see em live

hev, hun, be glad you even listen to it at all. you could be
at home listening to britney spears or blink 182, and we'd
all hate you!

I found Squarepusher thanx to a mate about a couple of years
ago. To think I could have missed out on GO PLASTIC...

I thank Nine Inch Nails for helping me discover Aphex. It
was the track "At The Heart Of It All" that did it. Ahh fond
memories....

I thank Chris Cunningham. I hate to admit it, but there was
a time when I used to watch MTV (but Toby Amies was a cool
presenter), and that's where I saw the Come To Daddy video
in late 97. I have to say I didn't like the music that
much, but the video made me curious to find out more.
