Hi-

Has anyone seen this before?
Autechre Generative Sequencer in early version of Max/MSP...
Apparently, this guy got a collective version of the patch
for 3.6 and claims a version for Max/MSP 4+ is available
somewhere (if you speak russian?). Has anyone seen it? I'd
really like to check it out.

Thanks

PS - Hopefully this translation will work from te .ru site

"Autechre sekvensor"

I like to imagine an accent when i hear that. A very mean
german woman maybe.

I think that means "sequencer?"

Did you hear the mp3 preview ? I thought it was pretty
nice!

Not a bad translation. It made some sense.

the images look like this is quite the complex shit!!!
But the file seems to be too tiny for it to be a music
sekvensor program

I thought you were!

I'm sure I heard some people discussing "That Fleetmouse!"
on the street the other day. And I'm certain I read an
article about you in Heat magazine....

Chihiro- Thats the beauty of Max. All the sounds are
synthesized internally, keeping the sound making engine
quite small.

qrter's behind it all. I'm trying to stay low profile and
he's starting all sorts of titillating rumors about me -
fleetmouse has two dongs, fleetmouse can only eat red cherry
cough drops, and so on.

And also the one about the lamas?

I know this is legit. Def. not trying to pull a fake here
this time. I just want to see this work on Max 4. From the
translation, the guy looks like he managed to recreate this
in an editable version and made it available for anyone who
joins the forum (i dont speak russian). I did more babel
translations in there and found someone recreated it in PD
too!

anyways, I will host it if I get the max 4+ editable
version.

mention that i heard (from a reliable source) that
fleetmouse's diet consists entirely of red cherry cough
drops! this is not a rumor - it's fact.

Ok i listened to the sample. I dont know if i am missing
something but it sounded like garbage. There was nothing
good about it really.

I dunno. Just my opinion

heh! :D

But seriously, after breifly skimming this thread and
listening to that sound sample... there is no relation to
autechre in that. When i listen to that i think "meh".

I've heard a bus load of tracks here that are better.

ah well

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean

Does this mean that the patch will let you create variations
of licflii at your leisure

Or what

I must say that Autechre sucks when it comes to keeping a
seal around their creations.. maybe they deserve to be
hijacked.

so,that guy has the sequencer ae did?

why did he post the screenshots from sound on sound
interview?

offline Sire from the depths (Finland) on 2005-03-22 06:08 [#01540428]
Points: 616 Status: Lurker

IMO listening to the sound sample this is fairly clearly
authentic Autechre, considering the age of the sequencer.
Haven't been able to get this to work in the current version
of MAX, would anyone still have MaxPlay 3.6 available for
download?

offline oyvinto on 2005-03-22 08:30 [#01540575]

did this mean it would not work on the pc version of
max/msp? or what? have any of you mac-people tried to open
it? anyway, i agree with virginpusher since their only
"proof" is the screenshot from the interview. but - i think
the soundclip sounded very much like ae.

you don't need a patch to make autechre music. just rip
their cd (some of you have mp3's) and copy and paste bits of
it and call it your own.

apparently the original patch has something like 30+
patchers and abstractions contained within.

Hardcore DSPing there.... and to think they are doing
something like this for each track. Damn.
