That's a pretty broad request...

I have already seen "Memento". "Care Bears: The Movie" was
banned for release in Canada for alleged radical
pro-masturbation messages embedded in the songs.

Reant a dvd box. Classic shit like Original Starwars
triology , Godfather Triology , Sergio Leone Box , Alien box
, Stanley Cubrick box.

Or why not watch a classic Disney movie like Tron , Fantasia
or Snowhite .

See a classic that you know is generally refered to as a
masterpiece but you still haven't seen it for no aparent
reason. One Flew Over The Cuckos Nest or something ?
I still havn't seen Barry Lyndon for example. Nor have i
ever watched Citizen Cane.

Yes indeed, finally someone agrees with me.

OK, so I can appreciate it's significance in the history of
filmmaking and that's great, but it's technical achievements
are now routinely surpassed and as entertainment it doesn't
even compare to an episode of Eastenders :P

Old Boy.
won't be able to find this at Blockbuster or Hollywood Video
though. you'll have to go to your local film-geek shop if
you know of one!

i agree too. one thing that really bothered me about
Citizen Cane is that the story is told by the reporter in
flash back, but there are several scenes where the reporter
wasn't even present!

i hadn't seen citizen kane until a year or so ago, and thing
i can't understand is that i had always gotten the
impression that the whole "rosebud" mystery wasn't answered
in the film. i thought pseudo-intelligent people were still
staying up all hours of the night arguing about what the
meaning of "rosebud" is. however, if you've seen the film,
you know this is not the case. unless there's a second layer
i never noticed (or indeed, i simply misunderstood the first
layer). kind of a letdown.

Ichi the Killer didn't really do much for me. I mean, is it
supposed to be a comedy? or is it just violent and gross
for the sake of being violent and gross? Maybe i didn't get
it!

(i'm going to 'spoil' the end of Citizen Cane. stop reading
if you care)

i think the meaning is argued by pseudo
intellectuals. but they know that 'Rosebud' is a fucking
sled. it's more like what does the sled represent??
his childhood? his innocence?!

funny and yeah, violent. i enjoyed it a lot.

yeah, i can see that, but it seems much less a mystery. it's
almost kind of obvious that "rosebud" represents those
things you mentioned. i wonder what some of the other
arguments are, then. i'm probably still missing something :)
i usually need things pointed out to me in movies.

maybe the sled is just a red herring and rosebud was
actually the name of his favorite shoe repair or something.
ha! joke's on us!

Yeah old Sci Fi stuff is great.
I would love to see the old "Metropolis" silent movie.
I have looked for it in moviestores with no luck. I have to
go internet on this one.

It looks so awesome.
Anyone knows if there is any good DVD release of this ?
The classic "Nosferatu" would be cool to have on DVD to.

chopped/smudged versions a few years ago. it was damned
confusing but still beautiful!
