I searching for some ubercomplex fast hard shit core bleep
blop blip music... in other words: stuff that sounds like
asect:dsect
I've checked some stuff on schematic but I can't seem to
find what I'm searching for. any recommendations?

well yeah I'm searching for the stuff that sounds like the
come to daddy mix. or Itsuko.
squarepusher doesn't even come close richard devine imo.

yeah I know datachi, don't really like that. he just play
"normal" stuff at a REALLY high tempo. devine is different.
there are layers and layers of sounds on top of each other.
and it doesn't rely on fast BPM. unlike datachi

Try 'Einoma - milli tonverka'. Its not as fast sounding, but
the mood is pretty much the same, and the glitch is nearly
as well done. Its also a bit darker.

Very similar sounding IMO. Also, a bit closer to autechre,
but worth a mention in a richard devine thread, is 'Landau'.
They have an album out on M3rck entitled thepicompromise
that I had on repeat all day yesterday, cause it rocks.

The Shapeshifter album "Reticulum Flux" on Schematic uses
similar high end glitch sound as Devine on many of his
releases releases.. But be warned, there's no beats at all,
it's all glitchy, noisy soundscapes. Beats Devine IMO

Try Onethema
He has tons of free tracks on the web as well as official
releases. Complex shit.

You into Otto Von Shirach ? Also check his other projects
Megadept and Docnuke.com wich are slightly more Drill n Bass
oriented. Listen to samples on Bomkat.

Syndrone's Salmataxia album is pretty advanced to.

Check out a demo artist called Skidskulk .
Not complex in the same sence as the others but still crazy
effects heavy acid brekabeat mania that is fun to listen to.

Cane's two latest 12's released on colony are also acid
breakbeat mashups but darker and sometimes sounds like
something autechre or gescom would do and sometimes plain
danceable stuff. Pretty original stuff.

Deework another great netlabel artist that does some freaky
stuff.

Subjex (planet-mu etc..) is very Devinish.

his site. Do you know where I can find others on the web,
as you mentioned?

thanks, this is a gem!

I love the coldness of his tracks.
I get pictures in my head of frozen arctic enviroments with
endless windy snow fields and large beatifull ice
formations.

Yeah, he's from Iceland I think.

Oh, and this thread rules even if we are slightly straying
away from R. Devine at times. In any case, cold, icy,
machinic, (and nostalgic, but not in an old skool way?), IDM
is my favorite. Good call on Syndrone, I was going to
suggest that. Quinoline Yellow, too. (shit I want his new
one sooo bad).

Actually, you should check out the album "Nummer Drie" on
Djak Up Bitch. Its soo good throughout and sooooo
consistent it doesnt even feel like a comp (and most of the
people on it typically fit what you are looking for). ie-

Swap, EOG, Funckarma, Quench, Phako, L'Usine, Autophonic,
Leekon, Cospagon

another cd of his. Honestly, I think he blows traject out of
the water as far as production, technique and mood are
concerned...

I checked a couple of those artists out and allot of them do
sound very devine-ish but they also sound very ambient-ish.
I want the tempo to be quite high. (like itsuko, or
Floccus)
I'm uploading a richard devine set for you guys now.
(richard devine @ wobble 2003) i think it's quite insane. it
features a couple of unreleased tracks too. and that's the
stuff I'm searching for.
