On winamp there's a Gapless Audio Output plugin that
perfectly eliminates gaps between tracks by pre-empting the
next song about 2 seconds before the previous one ends, and
unpausing the next song at exactly the right time.

On iTunes there's this piece-of-cock CROSSFADE feature,
which is best when it's set to 0 seconds, but it just
doesn't do the job fucking right.

Can you get plugins for itunes to fix this? It's really
*really* fucking pissing me off. There's an itunes feature
that "Joins CD tracks". however - does this create one big
mp3? If so that's not for me....

when burning...disable the 2 sec gap and it will work.

oh,btw...when you have mixes the best thing is not to rip
them because you will always have half of the second
gap,which is also annoying.
umm, well, when you edit an mixed cd,you gotta make it so like
one big mp3 after that mark regions from one transfer to
another and then cut into tracks later on just burn it like
that.

I don't remember *exactly* when they started putting it in
WA, but it's already there. You have to enable Direct Sound
in your Output Plugin prefs in WA.
The WA forums are really dope, check it g-funk!

nah i appreciate it but i just wanted to point it out that
it wasn't worthwhile doing what you suggested. also i
thought you'd have understood my unwillingness to do this in
my first post when i mentioned the "joins cd tracks" feature
in itunes and said "however - does this create one big
mp3? If so that's not for me.... "
