I loved REM like a limb until Michael Stipe got all activist. They were better when they were just a really popular bunch of southern jangle-rock weirdos. U2's power is undeniable. You may hate them but they sound awesome when you're drunk in a bar. You all sing along to them when you're pissed. |

Monoid i am completely in agreement here. I am sick of U2. I dont understand what they are going for but they dont even come across as musicians. Especially with the release of their latest album. Total crap. Teaming up with IPod so a commercial can force this dick of a song down the throats and up the asses of the unwilling. Thats fucking rape bono. The fuck kind of name is that anyways? fag. Moving on perhaps i wouldnt give a shit but the way various media icons portray them as iconic is disgusting. I am sorry.. i'm not buying it. I dont give a fuck how many records they sold. They have a weak fan base in essence that it isnt diverse and its the same people collecting all of there albums because bono is so sooo good. Give me a fuggin break. well, I hate U2, but i must honestly say i LOVE The Dandy Warhols :) They are fuckin' sexy rock band. Also I cannot imagine film like "9 songs" by Winterbottom illustrated with electronic soundtrack ( ae, afx, aphex, boc, squarepusher). It has to be rock/rock'n'roll! it suits perfect this film :) Dandy Warhol's "you were the last high", oh c'mon, guys! it is great! :) |
