how many of you have driving licence and how many of you
passed from the first try on the damn test?
i flunked twice and it's so damn annoying to know that i
didn't fill out the full line with the answers, only
partially.

easy to get your license in this state; you can do a method
called 'log book' which means you basically get casually
tested as you learn to drive; you simply have to do two
dozen or so procedures correctly twice in a roll (starting
the car, u-turn, traffic lights, et al), and then you have a
final test where you need to demonstrate your competence
without any instruction.

passed first time, quite a high mark too surprisingly (only
made one minor mistake).

four hours after i got my license, on a drive, i completely
fucked up a right turn at a set of lights in the city (i
used to live in the country, so i hadn't been through many
lights) and almost caused an accident. there were police
behind me, and i lost 3 of my 4 demerit points in one foul
swoop. $350 fine or something, too.

so yeah, i'm the best driver in the world or something.

well,we got a new law which states that you have to have 0
mistakes on the test and if you miss only one crossing you
fail no matter how good you wrote it.

I passed the theorry firrst time, with flying colourrs and
passed the test itself firrst time with I think 4 minorr
fault things. Stupid things like not checking my mirrrrorr
when I came to a stop at lights.

I was driving perfectly on my first test and literally
failed it at the lights on the intersection leading back to
the driving school. I was driving toward the light and it
turned yellow before I had time to react, so I kept going.
And failed. I guess I should have, like, slowed down to
prepare for that situation, I guess.

I still can't back into parking spots or anything precise
like that, I just park far away from places to avoid tricky
parking situations. Thank God the guy didn't test me on
that.

i was so nervous, my legs were shaking the whole time but i
managed to pull through. i failed my motorcycle licence the
first time for driving over a stop street 5 minutes into it!
he was like 'okay, that's it, you can go home'.
