at the drive-in totally rocked my space tendon fisheries. i
guess it's not fair to compare them, though.

new album is over 30 minutes long :)

i only heard bits from their last album. i've heard nothing
from their new one. it might be the best album ever in the
history of music, for all i know.

the last one being 'frances the mute'? both album are really
similar in sound so i don't think you'd consider it to be
the best album in the history of music, no :)

seen them twice, once supporting chilli peppers 2 years ago,
and other time at Glasgow Barrowlands last year.

I loved there first album but live they were shite, only
played about 5 travks from the album each spanning into
20minute self indulgent jams.

I downloaded a live torrent from a february 2005 show to see
if any diffrnt, but still the same 30 minute jams,

Oh, so i am the only one who likes the self indulgence???

Oh well i thought there were tight.

i saw them last week and they did 5 songs in 2 hours. I
didnt mind the self indulgent "what, theres a crowd
listening?" attitude at first, but come on, i paid to hear
the songs played by the band, what i got was the band
turning what could have been a great 5 song support gig into
a 2 hour boring waste of time.

i like them both a lot. i've been a fan of ATDI for 3 or 4
years now. the only reason to compare TMV to ATDI is the
fact that they have shared members. their sounds are
completely different (other than the singer's voice),
they're 2 different bands.

i'll be seeing the Mars Volta in Atlanga, GA when they come
down. i can't wait. 'deloused' was an amazing and unique
album and i think that 'frances the mute' was a good step up
for them, having evolved sonically a lot.

the barrowlands gig at glasgow was a 2hour boring waste of
time, when the gig finished alot of people were hugely
disapointed when walking out. A few people i didnt know
walked up to me to say how shit it was
