uses...i'm sure he's certainly used renoise...there's an
interview somewhere floating around that states some of the
stuff he uses...i'll try to find it for you.

I think I know a little. I think he uses trackers for the
most part. There's a program called Octamed which is dirt
cheap that I know he used. Someone posted this q a while
back on the snares forum and he said he was using Renoise a
lot at that time. But he's also talked about how he uses
stuff like Cubase and shit if I remember correctly. But
yeah, the basic essense of his stuff is tracker based.

he has used renoise as a sequencer before. and ii'm 100%
that he has used supercollider in passing at least, probs on
horse and goat for example. lots of trackers really. soft
and hard synths too.

amazing!

Yea, I'm positive about that one! I remember an interview
where he said he used it on the amiga and now uses it on the
pc. But it was an old interview so I doubt he uses it for
his latest stuff.

An answer picked in the interview:

"Unusually, Aaron's beats are programmed in Med Sound Studio
("I use it in every
track, I love it"), a Windows port of the old Octamed sample
tracker for the Commodore Amiga.
However, he's also enthusiastic about some more mainstream
Software such as Cubase VST: "I think
VST plug-ins are amazing and I've actually gotten rid of
most of my hardware synths and effects
as a result. I also love the fact that you can automate
everything in Cubase, and do EQ sweeps
and things that would otherwise be impossible unless you
wanted to sit there turning a knob
on an external effects box, trying to record it over and
over untill you got it right... which
is what i had to do pre-Cubase!"
