Ah, well now I don't really know. I'm not much good at
describing music. I do like it and it sounds sort of spacey
and er, hmm, well now prose has let me down. I like it
anyway.

:/

spacey? in an ambienty, astrobotny kind of way?

what other records are most similar to it?

hmm the cd version seems to have different tracks to the
vinyl

:( I can't describe it. Sort of loungey; jazzy. Sort of.
*furrows brow in frustration* doesn't bleep have samples
up?
And the vinly has less tracks than the CD and one of them is
longer than the CD version. I, shamelessly, have both
versions.

No it is electronic...but vintage synths etc. It's actually
an awesome album...I too own it on both vinyl and CD
(shamelessly), It's really nice, atmospheric easy listening.
It is really hard to describe though.

i'm always reminded of classic james bond moments. it has
that feel to it. the epic, almost funky chase-style music.
sometimes.

i dunno. i like it.

its pretty nice

yeah this thing is good stuff. i suppost it could be likened
to maybe Vibert's Nuggets stuff, maybe. haven't heard to
much of those. its supposed to be like reproducing library
music w/ is old royalty free "cheap" synthesizer music to be
for use in commercials, radio spots. 60s/70s feel of what
was seen as future music of that time. thats what he means
by spacey. sci-fi ish, w/ some latin mixed in. its just good
- get it.

but be warned, the old Harmonic 33 album is almost nothing
like it. Extraordinary People is pretty much hip hop, and i
didn't like it that much.

Its an awesome album. Its kind of what half the ninja tune
guys are always trying to do, but without the cheesiness.

It kind of reminds me of a really good record shopping day.
Going out to the second hand store to get a couple jazz
records, and after combing through the ten records that you
buy, you find the one with the money song that makes
the whole trip worthwhile. Well, this album is 16 money
songs back to back.

It manages to authentically pull off the sound of those 50's
and 60's big band orchestrations that bands like the
cinematic orchestra can never seem to do well. And the
combonation of the lush aural environments with contempory
rap style beats and productions, make this an early
contender for album of the year from me.

Funny, I wanted to post something about this album, but
something had already been done.

Get it if you can. The cd has additional songs (the ones
that couldn't fit onto the LP, methinks)
