What can I do to make firefox actually load pages without me having to refresh all the time.
Example: I click a link, firefox serves a nice clean empty page. I hit refresh and the page loads. Sometimes it takes between 2 and 78 clicks before it "catches" the page. Most annoying is when I want to clean out my mailbox in hotmail. The little window for reporting spam is blank. Over and over again.
Is this a cache problem? How do I fix this?

Have you tried uninstalling firefox and deleting it's profile directory?

Considering Microsoft's stance on compeditors, i'm not really too surprised that you're having issues accessing Microsoft Hotmail from something other than Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Yes. That is fixed. This is a new problem. Maybe I just use the web more than firefox can handle? I like firefox, but I'm getting more and more annoyed with this quickloading of pages. I can actually see the stuff flash by in the status field. "Done"

If I had to wage a gander I'd say Microsoft is using some proprietary JavaScripting that Firefox is having trouble with.
Try opening the JavaScript Console (in the Tools menu), clicking 'Clear', then refresh the hotmail page.

looks like this may be a common problem. you may want to try asking a few questions there, if you feel like putting that much effort into it.
Do you have any extensions installed?

I wish it was only hotmail. It's all webpages.
I don't want to use shit that doesn't work just because it's anti-MS.

If its happening on all webpages, I'd say it's a corrupt profile, a fucked up cookie, or possibly a wacky extension..
Are you sure you completely deleted your old profile directory?
\Documents and Settings\paco\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\wacky.folder.name
Was firefox closed when you deleted that folder?
Have you tried clearing your cache, cookies, history, etc..?
If so, then it must be satan's handywork. I've been using firefox since it was called phoenix, on several different computers, and on several OSs and I've never had this many problems, maybe I just got lucky..
fleetmouseticles may have additional advice... sorry, i have failed you.

I don't have any of the same problems with the regular mozilla. I deleted my profile, removed all cookies and cleared the cache, but it doesn't seem to help.
