Whet my appetite for me...I've got them all going to my
sister's to collect when I'm back in June, no record player
over here, see...

I want descriptions, comparisons, the minutest of
detail...and I want it now!!! :-)

Make your way through all Elusive's comments, he scrutinises
pretty much every track, as well as the whole concept of
Analord, with a forensic zeal.

Have been looking through threads as advised by dog_belch,
and it appears it's classic acid techno! Can it be? Are we
talking old school Aphex? Beautiful melodies, great
rhythms...? I'm now officially almost too excited...I've
changed my mind about selling the complete binder on
eBay...how am I gonna wait till June to hear them all?! :-(

Reading the thread "Admit it. You ARE disappointed" was
interesting for someone who hasn't heard a single Analord
track...it's strange to me how someone can say that some of
SAW 85-92 is mediocre and that some later ones are
consistently brilliant....I thought it was painfully obvious
that SAW 85-92 is his best work, but it just goes to show
that RDJ divides opinion as usual...if it really is the case
that it's a question of taste not quality, then bring on the
acid...

(I love acid) :-D

I think where the divide lays is between when you got into
RDJ and with what album. If you jumped stright in with
Drukqs and you never liked "old school" acid techno then no,
you're not going to be very excited by Analord. But if you
loved SAW 85-92, and have been praying for the day Dickie
would revisit that sound, whilst still obviously pushing
forward, then Analord is a gift from one of the techno gods.

I jumped in with Drukqs having head Come to Daddy and I'm
loving the Analord action. Then again, I'm ginger.

i think you got it the wrong way around. i'm disappointed in
analord.

mind you, i can't stop listening to dancing girls by nik
kershaw, so it's hardly going to get a look in. but i
deleted all the analord mp3s.

What did you think of Radio Musicola, where he attempted
something a bit, perhaps, ambitous, for his existing
audience?

of my fav releases of his, are there any more tracks on the
analord series that sound anything like this, or is it all

Ive been in to aphex since On. I don't think analord sounds
anything like Saw1. I don't think any of his previous
releases can compare actually. It's just different. I do
think analord ten is like an analogue version of druqks,
though. I love ten the most so far. I like bwoon dub, too.
