ok... it is... it's my first, so there are no amazingly fancy tricks and the transitions are pretty plain and maybe even wrongly matched in places, but I wouldn't expect to "start out" as a master.. and yeah.. mp3mix seems to be harder to do than turntables, which I need another turntable and a better computer to be able to do... it's an xlt mix, and I haven't really asked everyone about their tracks, but I hope it's ok that I used them for practicing. hmm... weird. I don't notice any skipping, but I've only heard it in acid... my comp often fucks with large mp3s when I play back in media player... |

well it's the same thing i heard when trying out these winamp plugins for speeding up/slowing down, i think you may just not get away with doing this to mp3's, (because there's too little infomation for that?) |

oh wait! I just remembered there was one track I tried timestretching instead of pitching, and I just found out yours was it... I could export and upload with it just being pitched instead, but that may take some time... |

Don't be, my first mixtapes were godawful, the worst piece of shits imaginable. For a first one this was quite good, the only blunders happened when mixed in and out of my track :( It was spot on for a saturday afternoon. Good job. P.S. Can you or Horsefactory please direct to the Aplomb track? That one was ace. |

hmm.. yeah, when I mixed in your track, I did some cutting and panning on those acidish beginning synth thingies... but were you referring to the speed/bpm and the place at which it really begins? Oh, and when going out of your track I kind of sensed there was some offbeatness, but it kind of made sense to me then as well (this was yesterday at 3). Thanks for checking! I should have all of horseys tracks somewhere, and I got them off him on slsk, so he may have them in his share... if you want I can log on to slsk so that you can get them once I've uploaded the melody for the exquisite corpse... |

Haha you weren't wrong, my tracks probably sound better at +20 anyway ;) I really liked the mix, I remember reading another thread about the lack of equipment you had to do it with, you did a good job, im impressed. But what I really like about this is you weren't scared to jump between and cover many styles / tempos. Thats what makes an exciting DJ in my opinion.. Too many DJ's i've heard stick to 1 speed and style..keep it up, if this is your first mix, youre work is bound to get better, bring on the next installment! Oh yeah and the music was great, there is a lot of talent lurking on this board. |

I'll probably try to make more mixes in the future, and the I may even be able to use the turntable(s) (if I manage to save up money for one more even after getting a new computer), so it could be a bit easier to make... yeah, the styles.. I just took what I thought was good from different artists 'round here, and I think there's lots of talent here too... (some of it got left out of this mix just because of the simple fact that I had no skillz to mix it properly and I probably haven't heard everything.. I also forget names of stuff easily, but I know I've heard lots of great stuff from lots of other artists) |

Generally sounds good, but the mixes are a bit fade one in - fade one out if you know what I mean. I think my track sounds a bit monotonous when its slowed down. Mixing out from Vlari's was definetly not working for me. I think using all xltronic musics made it a lot harder than it had to be. |
