what's going on with this? i want in on next session. also can i suggest making one where it's like jazz in a sense that it's exactly the same as you have it, but there are multiple melodicists.. who play the role of soloists.. whoever's mixing/sequencing can arrange them in whatever order befits the song |

#2: wow, i don't remember playing any of this. nice sample-choppery! :) #1: don't recognize any of this either. probably for the best. i like the glitchy stuff. all things considered, these aren't bad at all... dannn_ and i_x_ten both did commendable work given the circumstances. i think this is still sucessful experimental music. |

i_x_ten did a great job too. neither of the mixers, however, mixed the bass line with the melody [which i made and i know it might not be too straight or simple] . if the rules allow to change pitch of parts of an exquisite track - then it would be possible to mix the bass with the melody in this doomed one. now i know i should've signed for the mix. |

I wouldn't know how to make the bass and the melody go together. The melody sounds reall cool though. At 120bpm I would have expected it to be whole numbers of seconds long but it was just short of 16s which made me wonder. I think maybe we should ask that people avoid effects on their parts as much as possible, leave that to the mixer? Although the mixing seems to be one of the biggest problems. I don't really have any software to do it with properly. |

obara: yes, the mixer can do whatever he feels like as long as he uses the stuff provided... it is best to keep it as close to the originals as possible, but it's kind of a quality-control thing... dannn_ that depends which effects... I think, if someone wants to have wahwah or flange or something like that I'd say that would be ok, but reverb and compression and stuff should be the mixers task.. of course, the mixer could even add further effects of the wahwah and similar type... |
