Soon he will be immersed into the mad mad world that is
electronic music, whether he likes it or not.

Mwuahahahaha!!!

I try to convert everyone I know to AFX-ness...

But they all hate him. Morons.

Ophecks I try too, but this was my first success.

I met a guy a couple weeks ago and he was playing Nostrum in
his car (decent trance music), and I suggested to him that
he listened to Aphex Twin, and he said, oh yeah, that's
"Good Stuff". I was in so much disbelief that I was almost
angry.

OK, you are obviously accepting of electronic music because
you are listening to computer generated 4/4 trance, and you
know about aphex, yet you are listening to trance music.
Aphex is "good stuff"? That's like saying Einstein is
"pretty smart". What the hell is wrong with you? ARGH!

i work with someone who thinks i have good taste in music
minus all that "odd electronic stuff." the tables were
turned when i left for a minute or two, and when i came back
he was playing my icbyd.

i go to him:
"... you're ... you're playing my aphex ... "
"yeah"
"i'm so proud of you."

Haha... that happened with my cousin... he's so hell bent
against Aphex... he likes Linkin Park. I came running down
the stairs really fast one day, and he was in my room
listening to Windowlicker, with Come to Daddy next on the
playlist...

Our musical disagreements are legendary, trying to convince
the other that they have horrible taste... looks like that
little fucker lost!

He still CLAIMS to hate Aphex, so... urg.

I live a similiar situation... my friends doesn't like
electronic music (apart 2 guys who I known under the army),
instead my girlfriend like Chemical Brothers, Massive
Attack, Daft Punk, Lounge music, etc... but doesn't like
AFX, it's too harsh for her and there aren't vocals too. She
likes only some melodic tracks like IZ-US, FLIM, ALBERTO
BALSAM, WINDOWLICKER, etc...

WooÆ’er

I tried to turn my wife on to Aphex to no avail. She sings
in a choir and is into Handel, Mozart, etc. I've been trying
to sneak in some tunes for my 5 mo old daughter. Come To
Daddy makes her cry but she likes Fingerbib. I think her
favorite electronic music is Kraftwerk - Autobahn.

ive tried to introduce a few of my friends to AFX... they
dont seem to be too interested.. its all just hectic "noise"
to them...

but there is this one friend who still offers some hope.. im
in the process of gradually easing him into AFX's world.. as
to not scare him off..

of hard study into lying around in my room listening to my
most recent aphex purchase and fingerbib, over and over
again

elite few.. i dare say, i am not eve worthy of it's

no the more people you get into it, the more people will
hear it and hate it, it's a win-win situation
