The following list of garments will (from the 4th April
05') not be acceptable in work and this will be confirmed in
writing to you individually:

Any type of jeans
Denim shirts
T - shirts with any sort of logo ( plain polo shirts are
acceptable)
Baggy Jumpers
Inappropriate clothing
Jogging/ Sportswear
Shorts
Sports shoes/ Trainers

but are they going to give me money to g and get some decent
clothes? Are they FUCK!

In order to foster a positive, professional working
evironment we have found it necessary to implement this
dress code.

I'm sure this will increase your productivity and improve
job satisfaction AND have a dynamic effect on profits, and I
am sure, SURE it's not just some new twat in management or
personnel making themselves look important by coming up with
some random regulation just to piss everyone off.

dress codes are shit. there's nothing good about them ever.

call in with a problem then.

i hate fucking dress down day. whats the fucking point, if
you're going to be so uptight about a dress code, but havent
got the moral fibre to stick it out for a week, you stupid
retard....

(not aimed at you)

Be thankful there's no mention of

peep-hole bras
edible panties
leather chaps
basques
fetish wear
dog collars
or
speedoes

stupid...

I would work better and be more productive by choosing my
own clothes because then i wouldnt pay them any mind. If i
am wearing clothes by restriction then throughout the day i
would be mentioning how gay that shit is

Never been able to hold down a job where there was a dress
code for longer than 15 mins... Once accepted a job like
that without realising but got sacked 15 minutes into the
first day because I was wearing combats and "clearly did not
take the position seriously enough" as I was not suited &
booted.

Fuck them I say. If I can't look the way I want at work then
the company culture is not for me and my skills go somewhere
else.

It's not that strict though, you could still conceivably be
a style conscious fashiontard within those boundries, and at
the end of the day thats whats important

Officially mine is smart casual, but as I'm office based, I
tend to wear what I like. I've gone in in
jeans/tshirts/biking leathers several times and I've never
had any formal stick for it. I wear a suit if I'm meeting
clients, but if you're emailing people or dealing with
machines, why does it matter how you're dressed?

I do tend to wear smartish stuff, but that's only because it
helps me relax in the evenings when I "dress down".

get everyone in your dept. to wear thing that aren't on the
list....like, i dunno, school uniforms, teddy bear outfits
etc. It'll be a riot! :)

I had a ofice job once that was shirt & tie based but had a
casual friday.... its so fucking patronising. Then one they
the boss came in with ploo shirts with the comapay logo, for
us to wear on fridays!!!! If that isn't "the office"
material i dunno what is.

I see your point too, but so far my policy has worked pretty
ok. Considering all the time and effort put into actually
doing a salaried job, I think the money should be really
really good to make me wear a suit.. It's a minor thing but
the psychological effect is enormous, and I don't even dress
in a trendy/high profile whatever way. Just had enough with
all the shit companies have given me in the past..
