fucking food paradise, amazing.

age ristrictions on drinking

16 years for beer and wine, 18 for harder stuff. but I would
be surprised if anyone checked.

,smoking,

what? no restriction, if that's what you want to know. or
are you talking about weed? 16 years again, I think.

guys ciggaretes etc

you shouldn't just smoke other guys cigarettes. it might get
you in trouble. if, however, you're talking about the legal
age to have sex, yes, it's that 16-thing again.

good cheap places to stay

this I do not know. I live here.

food prices/is vegetarian food hard to come by?

cheaper than in the UK. but then the UK is one of the more
expensive countries in Europe.

yes, we do eat other things besides meat. vegetarian food is
generally accepted by the populace. well.. in the larger
cities.. outside of the walls insanity reigns.

this is important: what are those fluffy pastry-like
cheesy things called. they're not sweet. they are hot and
flaky and puffy. i ate about 50000 of them whilst there
(exaggeration). they taste sorta like cheese. they're
orange if i remember correctly.

please help, thanks!

my advice is that even a one-star hotel is better than a
"good" hostel. it's worth the extra ten bucks, trust me.
some of the hostels are like glorified prisons.

if you're going to amsterdam, there is a tourist center near
the train station. it's a building with two stories, as i
recall. they help people find hotels and tourist stuff.
they sometimes get you good deals. i got really lucky and i
was able to spend a few nights at a very, very nice hotel
extremely cheaply. i don't know if this service is still
available, though.

Yeah that's still available, me and some mates did it last
summer. They put us in a wicked hotel, dead cheap too :D
