so anyway, i'm on my way to the Mod Club to see Michael Mayer w/ guest Jake Fairley, then suddenly i realize, i forgot my ticket at home. i can't take a train BACK home to get it, that would be ridiculous, it would be cheaper to just BUY A NEW TICKET, which i did. so i get to the joint and after an hour of waiting, the guy asks me for ID - which i ALSO forgot. the motherfuckers didn't let me in. so i scalped the 2nd ticket, but i still lost about $40 on this deal, having paid for a train ride to and from Toronto, + food i wouldn't have paid for had i not gone. i feel robbed, but i suppose that if this had to happen, i'm glad it didn't happen to an important show, like Prefuse 73 or Autechre. now i know not to forget important shit like that!! |

damn, that is definately a "prefusely bleeding anus" situation... Pretty much every concert I've ever gone to, I just barely remember my ticket right as I walk out the door (or sometimes in my car pulling out of the driveway.) forgetting important shit like ID really sucks too, especially when you're 18 and the chickenshit clerk wont sell you a lighter because you dont have your ID (i'm 20 now, and have learned my from my ID forgetting mistakes, not that I ever really get ID'ed for anything anymore, anyway). in short, if you smoked weed I would wish you the biggest, freshest, fruitiest bowl of dank in the world, but since you don't I hope you find a way to feel better in some other way. sometimes just lying down and putting on a good cd can really wash away the day. :) |
