it's all in the socialization. it's about the ideologies we
get when we are growing up before we can even consider being
controlled by the media. the obvious common ideology for us
is, get educated, get a job, money is your god.

you'll find similarities in the marxist and
matrix theories. Like the marxist theory, the
matrix theory talks about people being too far
into the system. For example, younger people have freer
minds and can accept that they are controlled easier.
Compared to older people, who may be more sceptic as they
have been used to this control for so long without
questioning it. Both theories are about control and with the
marxist theory this is the heart of it, which can come from
religion to mass media.

Its no worse than its been in the past, IMO, and people are
generally aware of it now, wheras 60/70 years ago this sort
of stuff came only from ranting paranoid schizophrenics.
And government has much less control over media now which
is a good thing, if you think that businessmen are more
trustworthy than governments.

Especially with the anti-capitalist/anti-government thing
becoming pretty mainstream (Michael Moore et al), I don't
think its getting worse or going ignored...

Control and Freedom. One cannot exist without the other (the
matrix theory says). A certain amount of free thinking is
needed. If there was no suggestion of this then we would go
insane. It's a bit like free will and choice. Conform or
not? Both have their consiquences.

Mr Murdoch? or some posh board member that I don't know?

Hehe I don't have an opinion on that really, all I shall do
is shamelessly misquote the late great political philosopher
Thomas Yorke who said something along the lines of, 'there
are organisations just as large and as powerful as any
government, the difference being that they aren't decided
via ballot box' or something. I believe he said this while
fingering a 7 figure cheque he'd been sent by EMI.

Mastah: I was thinking of stuff in relation to the old
communist or nazi days in Europe... I haven't thought about
whether its true in places like Britain... hmm

they're the "worst" on it right now, which I think the
Rupert + Murdoch referance was all about.

The obvious problem with control theories is that whatever
we say could be seen as being part of the system. For
example, what you may learn from philosophers is through the
media (their stuff being published). This also supports the
one not being able to exist without the other theory. What
is printed by the philosophers may be accepted by the ones
in control but is needed for our existance.

"matrix theory" would be very much like marxist theory,
since the cohen brothers have never concieved one singular
thought of their own since they were born.

neither have I.

I'm off to bed now, I leave you with this thought:

If people from a country were to go into their capital city
in a bloody protest of uproar protesting about mass media
control then would the media broadcast it? If they did then
just imagine how they would manipulate it!

Good Night!

yes, but those two (whichever brother they may be.. I just
mix up names real easy, but I'm talking about the matrix
brothers) steal directly without credit.

given that humkind is old and there's always been people
trying to control the rest. I'd say we're just fucked up,
because the system we're inmerse was beiing developed for
thosands of years.
