This track deserves 100 threads, but I could only give it
one.

they (er he?) should release a new album. it was a long time
ago.

the other projects are not as good as gridlock, imo.

formless is brilliant.

Return is a nice track, but definitely not their best.

actually, i find it hard now to listen to individulal tracks
separately... imo, Gridlock's stuff works best when you
listen to their albums in their entirety.

actually, they make some of the most perfectly flowing
albums ever!! :)

Yes, I feel like I'm missing something if i dont listen to
Trace all the way through.

I dont think Formless is as good as Trace because they sound
more like a bunch of different tracks thrown together to
make the album. However thats fine by me, because gridlock
pwns.
Its the best music to crank waaaay up and just have it fill
the room.

Notable mentions for cranking shit up:

Formless:

Song23
Distance
Return
Displacement
Chrometaphor

Trace:
everything but the Vcam remix. It sucks.

i absolutely agree, "return" is
a fantastic track (featured on
formless.

point? or am I just dreaming this up?

i've always wondered why Vcam remix is included on Trace...
i'd say it just destroys the album flow.

oh, and i totally agree with your comment on Formless. i
prefer Trace over this one, too!

they did. i want a higher fucking quality rip of that
stream, dammit; it'd sound so much more fantastic if it was
>64kbit.

nice track, too, but it's much better in context (that is,
with the flow of the album).

I would also check out the vinyl version of Trace. It's got
a bunch of entirely different tracks and a completely
different flow.

Engram is pretty sweet, too.

gridlock puts out some really beautiful, flowing music.

Yeah I got Trace on vinyl. Its quite different. I dont
really care for that somatic responses remix, its just too
harsh and goes on for too long, the rest is very nice
however.

Also theres an extended version of "Done Processing" on the
vinyl version of Formless.

Fix has one of the best basslines ever. So simple though,
its like a lullabye.

I'm noticing that Pallid is very underrated. Pallid is

the melodies are good, i dont care for the drums on it
though. The earlier tracks I listed, i love far more.

'Trace' is excellent, 'Formless' is very good. 'Further' is
something else: way more industrial, not their best ...
