Ok. The basis for this one I did with nothing but scratching and this weird pedal I've got (reverse delay), which becomes a weird reverse sampler if I put repeats on full. I made a small loop with some scratching, and then I scratched out those "hits" or "stabs" or whatever while the loop played. It's scratched from Kool and the Gang - summer madness...
Then I decided I'd make it more gangsta, so I scratched in fabolous shouting over (this is on a different take) and then I put in some breathing. There's also a different party which may or may not be a chorus, but that's programmed... I'm not really sure if the thing is finished, but feedback (and any MC that would like to give it a go) is welcome.
Kazooi!

well.. the speed of the server seems kind of random... yesterday I got "whoah! that server is FAST! I'm getting 200kb/s from it," and today it's slow as bog in a nostril!
now, I've got to go to the dentist, but thanks for listening! I'll be back to love you all for giving me feedback unless the dentist kills me.

Well - unusual is the word for it. I can't really think of more to say to describe it.

thanks for listening everyone!
Tolst: no, if you're referring to what I think you're referring to, that's from Loius Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald - Summertime. It's a cut-up-and-pitched single thing from the intro, I think...

there's not much of a beat on this beat! :) but i really like the experimental aspect of it. could be made into something cool.

It reminded me of the neptunes more experimental beats, i liked it :)
adding a rap over it would be sweeet!
Turntablist vibes anyone...?

I'd rather not be compared with the neptunes, but I'll take it as a compliment this time! hahah!
Yeah, I'd like to have some vocals on this, and a turntablist vibes would be great!

I know neptunes make a lot of comercial pap, but you have to admit their beats are catchy and well produced.
Turntable throwdown : lets battle this shit out :)

If you want a rap over it, you can always ask JammerX.
I'm also wondering, did you do that 33/45 trick with your scratching? It sounded familiar somehow...

KADO: catchy, maybe, but the entire concept of the neptunes is what I'm not agreeing with...
somehow they suddenly did all the music, and somehow only Pharell got credit for it... it's like a symbol of capitalism at its worst. And I don't really like their NERD stuff at all...
vlari: HAHAHHA! JAMMERX!
no 33/45.. I just pitced... had to do it real quick, but it worked.

oh, I just realized I DID do some 33/45 stuff, but not while recording and not intentionally...
the record is 45, but I forgot to set it to 45, and the deck starts out at 33, so... yeah.. it's slower than the original, but I didn't do it while I was recording...
I just wish I had had more foresight and recorded from the beginning so that I could have that part where I actually started the loop too... it's interesting to see how things like that develop, which is why I will do a loop jam with myself and this pedal soon (then it will be with me playing the synth to a drum loop I scratch out on the pedal or something...).
