Weird! she's back from living in Oz and is gonna be around for about 4 months before shooting off to the states, where she lived for about 7 years before Oz. Its pretty wierd cos she's more like a distant aunt and there's always this strange "i should act motherly" vibe from her and a "stop acting like my mother" vibe from me. I reckon a sheet of wallpaper has more motherly instincts than her so the next few weeks is gonna be a bizare game of happy families. I can just see myself freezing up if she tries to hug me and its a horrible feeling. I'll play her some autechre. |

another strange thing is that she's such a head-in-the-clouds happy-go-lucky person and i got the exact same traights so when we meet i'm reminded of myself in her, even though she didn't raise me really. It all adds to this whacky psychological soup of emotions and regret and resentment and oh-well-life-i-must-go-on-ness. Don't even get me started on my stoned-all-his-life father! |

that's an awkward situation..my grandad was left by him mother when he was born and she moved out of the country so they saw each other on quite rare occassions, perhaps 14days once per every two years or so..he never had a very good opinion on her but he was still going there for visits and was helping her around.. mothers are just one of those people you can't hate i suppose.. |

Yeah. I got the same thing with my mom, only I see her once a year instead of once every four. Its kind of an awkward 'I am supposed to love you but I don't know you at all and I probly woudn't like you had we been introduced by friends' kind of feeling. |

Honestly, sometimes I have a tenancy to joke around with people like I would in real life, and half the time I forget that things like tone of voice and sarcasm don't always come through in text.
