In the case of Confield, I don't think this experiment would apply. If you're going to put on the semblence of taking an objective look at things, 'thinking about the outcome of the experiment' is a lot less effective than actually FUCKING DOING IT. I just did. Every track on Confield except Lentic Catachresis failed. You lose. |

I like LCC more now. Nice pads at the end. It's kinda relaxing and you can chill to it, although I always find the opening too minimal personally. Btw, sorry if this has been done over and over-but has the leak been proven real yet? What did Phobia say? |

This topic ceased being about the Lcc track after the first post as I previously stated. My references to cunts was regarding those people who are posting unconstructive rubbish like "the promo is fake", "i've listened to 5 seconds and I can tell the entire album is rubbish" and obviously people like yourself who post without either a) understanding the words previously written b) bothering to read any of the preceeding posts and just go on a mini rant all of their own. Lcc is fackin great, as is most of Untilted, the only tracks I'm not yet feeling is Iera and Sublimit (which I havent made a dent in yet). The overall style of Untilted took me by surprise and like all Ae, it doesn't fully register on the first few listens. on the surface, the tracks seem very simple and unfinished, but deeper listening rewards lots of subtlties in the beats, an not nearly as much loops as it first seemed. I think people were expecting a further excursion down the complex path of Confield and Draft, but they've gone for a much more clean fast percussive sound. The melody about 3 minutes through Ipacial Section is the most alien melody I think Ae have come up with to date, it almost seems like an inverted or negative melody, definately not normal. The droney melody at about 5 is also magical, reminds me in parts of Plaid's Crumax Rins. Augmatic Disport is like a distressed disco tune with Parkinson's. Fermium is easy to get to get to grips with and very enjoyable. The Trees reminds me of Sim Gishel and Eidetic Cassein in parts but is not up there with those tunes at the moment. Pro Radii is probably the most bombastic and up-front Ae track for a while. A lot of this album gives me mental images of robots and ice. |

god guys this is so fucking funny. ae ripped some outtakes and such for a laugh, and now you're all going on about how great they are. fuckin great. when the REAL untilted comes you will all have a different tone. me and a dude named ELECTR00(maybe you heard of him?) had a discussion about this. he has very broken english but basically what he said after the first track was "looooool". yeah. i asked him "but electr00, are you sure its not them?" "i listen to ae for too long not to feel this" and he's goddamn right. i've listened to the album about 50 fucking times now, and the only parts that stick out are; opening of pro radii with the voices, last half of lcc with the pads, funky 80's type melody on sublimit, last part of ipacial section with the stuttering voice type synth and... well the beginning of augmatic disport, the rest of augmatic with the deep bass sucks ass. iera also has some nice moods. the beginning of fermium sounds like a 6 year old working a casio keyboard, but the end with the ambient part is kinda cool. the trees basically does nothing for me. and well sublimit.. an ok track. but GUYS this isnt up to ae's standard. and thats a fact. the only hope i have, if this is the real untilted, is that the compression and sound quality on this leak is so horrible that we've completely mistaken the depth, otherwise, if this is actually how it sounds, im sorely dissapointed. i try to enjoy this album, and i do enjoy parts like mentioned above, but to go back to lp5 and cichlisuite.. what the fuck, thats just gay. |
