Why won't RDJ make a Drukqs 2?

He may do yes, but I guess he won't. When I say Drukqs 2 I
don't mean it would have to be called that, I just love the
style of Drukqs so much. It's my most favourite album ever
and every track brings me extreme feelings of nostalgia
which I get from nothing else.

I just really really want another Drukqs style album!!!!
Someone get his address and we'll make a pertition.

thats the last thing i want him to do. why would any artist
just want to repeat something theyve already done?

Nah... I'd prefer him to push the envelope further down the
mt st michael path, and forget about the random quick
experiment tracks that everyone but you skips :D

i think drukQs should have been shortened to one CD instead
of two, but that's just my opinion... and yes, of course it
wouldn't hurt to have more for those who want more.

if you play drukqs slowed down, it sounds like a whole new
record.

apparantly.

so you could get more drukqs that way i guess.

I will be happy to download off anyone who is sharing the
album slowed down. I missed the thread on this topic where
there were links and referrals.

he's releasing fantastic analogue music now!

no need for another drukqs. that would've been too
predictable, but enjoyable no doubt. analord sounds much
phatter, and groovier.

analord 10 sounds much more intresting than drukqs imo.

i really have no idea if it would be any good. yeah i'd liek
to hear it, but i don't wanna go to the effort of slowing
things down myself. work is for other people.

he's releasing 10 analords. why can't he release two drukqs?

yeah. but you could pretend they're two :)

set your focus on the great analords instead of another
drukqs. another drukqs woudn't be intresting at all.

drukqs slowed down is the drukqs2 or SAW III, whichever you
prefer

you can email or msg me for more information on this beauty

I blame Joyrex. If he'd sounded more enthusiastic then we'd
have more Aphex Albums. FACT!

i would say drukqs where far more cutting edge then the
oldschool acid analords so far (maybe except analord 10
which is ace).

that pacemaker plugin for winamp works wonders for slowing
down tracks.

holy shit the pacemaker rocks... I slowed the tempo of flim
down and brought the pitch up a bit and the ending sounds
fucking wicked.

now listening to ziggomatic slowed down 38.5%, and everyone
who said druqks is a whole new album slowed down was
right... this is awesome.

hmm...

I gotta try that... I love flim!

(how much is the decrease from 45 to 33 rpm really?)

offline acid_polic3 from london (United Kingdom) on 2005-02-20 15:56 [#01506201]

but most of them are 33rpm in the boxset

and the difference is pretty massive really , not a slight
thing at all...

haha!

yeah, but what is the difference if calculated over to pitch
%? That would be useful to know for matching stuff out of
range...

offline elusive from detroit (United States) on 2005-02-20 16:15 [#01506220]

slow down mp3s = loss of data = loss of details = loss of
everything

offline earthleakage from tell the world you're winning on 2005-02-20 16:24 [#01506233]
Points: 27795 Status: Regular

45/33.3=1.35
33.3/45=0.74

so if you're slowing a 45rpm record down to 33 its 74% of
the original speed, and if you're speeding up a 33rmp record
to 45 it's 35% more.

offline Drunken Mastah from OPPERKLASSESVIN!!! (Norway) on 2005-02-20 16:43 [#01506250]

ok.. but is that (74% of original speed) equivalent to if I
had a pitch that went 74% down?

the difference between pop songs and idm is that pop songs
sound better when they are sped up/slowed down
