When draft 7:30 was released

It was great, cause I had no internet, wasn't really buying
music at the time, and I found out about it the day it was
released, cause it was on a poster for a nearby record
store. I had been paid that morning, so I quickly went and
bought a copy, when to the beach, bought a late, and sat
there and listened to it.

Not that there is really a point to this. Just thought I
would share. I have changed my mind. I don't want to realy
debate validity of fraudulent leaks anymore. I want it to be
a suprise, cause that was one of the best album purchases I
had in 2003, mostly for the way I got it, and how I listened
to it for the first time.

I listened to the cassette rip for a while,

and literally, all the tracks sounded the same.

it took me like 3-4 weeks of constant listening before i
REALLY i mean REALLY got into draft.

i sit and look back at draft now, and i think it's quite
accessable, but then i think about how i listened to it for
3-4 weeks straight and how long it took me to really digest
it and it kinda blows my mind.

Oh, no. Its not a draft 7.30 poster, it is a poster
advertising all the new releases that the cool postmodern
emo kids like to listen to. Draft got an honorable mention
for being autechre.

You could rasterbate the covers, and make a poster of it...

When I got the cassette rip it was in constant rotation
until I received the vinyl version.. It was great to hear
Autechre returning to their roots (this was my first thought
when I heard it).. For me it was a bit of "Phew!" after
Confield, which I've only grown to like more after hearing
Draft... I've noticed the same thing happening before with
Ae albums. Anyway, the vinyl sounds really fat, giving it a
spin right now :D

Looking forward to appreciating it even more after
"Untilted" comes out

i haven't been on xltronic at the time i bought confield
either..and i prefered slightly different music at that
time..well i still do infact :-)

i can't remember what i thought of draft when it came out,
but i suspect it wasn't anything nice :D

I don't think autechre have come closer to perfection than
in Reniform Puls.

The Draft vinyl is awesome

there's so much artwork on the covers that I don't think you
guys (without the vinyl) have seen.

all the images of the draft artwork ive seen DONT include
the like 4 designs on the vinyl covers.

i should scan em.

Not just the covers are great, but the vinyl itself is nice
and thick (180mg), not like your usual Warp LP.

Usually thick vinyl sounds better, not sure why but must be
some manufacturing trick. Anyone? Also, it doesn't bend
easily :)

On the minus side it really does weight more when it's in
your record bag
