most definitly. I slept all of yesterday, even when my ex
came out to see if I wanted to do anything with her today. I
wouldnt even hug or talk to her. NOW its valentines day and
im gonna sleep it off, just like i do everyday now. call it
depression, call it the blues, call it the valentines day
blues.

play me a song piano man..

no, i'm trying to forget about this stupid holiday but
different things remind me, so i'm a little angry with it.

day you get pancakes.

Valentines day is a shit corporate marketing scheme that
sends females out in the streets begging for your dirty
dollar. Fuck women and fuck valentines day. Fuck everyone
while I'm at it too.

Pancake Day sucked for me this year. I can't make pancakes,
my mom used to do them every year but she died last March so
no more of mom's pancakes :(

Valentines Day has been good though. Got a card and a teddy
bear :D

lol @ guys who buy their girlfriends a dozen roses ,
chocalate mixed sampler box , red card , cheap diamond
pendant or earrings

sheer fucking lol @ that action

i painted my girl a cool picture , it was an "art nouveau"
style girl , she likes thatr style so did one of a lady in
that style on this cool piece of wood , a mix cd , and a
handwritten card with some pictures of us and our cats. yeah
, pretty cheesy i know , but way better than the shit i
mentioned at the beginning of the post. at least its real
shit.

nationally and internationally.

I have carefully have and will be avoiding the usual girls i
see on this fine day. They will get nothing from me! ha

I saw a guy in Asda this morning buying a red-enveloped
card, roses, a small teddy bear, a bottle of cava and some
kind of meat product, steak or something.

Yus, I forgot pancake day too. i got reminded after I had
eaten my evening meal and thus only had room for 1
unsatisfying pancake.

bleh. its all marketing and whatevers. like easter.
when we all celebrate jesus dying and coming back as a
rabbit that lays chocolate eggs. the same goes for
christmas. wtf does santa and the fucking tree got to do
with it?
happy regular bowel movement day to you all. go spend some
++cash on kellogs high fibre bran.

i will spend valentines day drinking red wine till i can't
see anymore and then laugh bitterly at anything romantic
till i throw up

offline Bob Mcbob on 2005-02-14 09:27 [#01498166]
Points: 9939 Status: Regular

theres no rule that says how you should celebrate special
occasions such as easter and valentines day. the way we
celebrate has changed over hundreds of years into something
enjoyable and harmless, and you cant say it makes you forget
about the religious figures behind the festiveties, because
if we did nothing on those days they would have been
forgotten entirely.

valentines day is purley commercial though. easter and
christmas have roots, at least.

offline plrtzglrb from .... (South Africa) on 2005-02-14 09:31 [#01498180]

i bet you valentines day also has roots somewhere. i really
dont care though. the thing that pisses me off somewhat is
the heavy commercialization behind it. it really cheapens
the whole idea.
happy monday everyone.

It's quite sad that lots of people feel that way about
romance, especially on valentines day

Vanletines day is a chance for all the unromantic people to
show someone they care without having to feel too awkward
about it. Why dis it and turn it into something negative
when you can use it as it should be and make someone happy

in my school somebody put on "i will always love you" by
whitney houston and then condoms were given to everybody by
13 years old girls in red t shirts that said
"valentinsengel".

saint valentine was a saint. and after he was sainted, the
saint had a day named after him - saint valentines day -
named after saint valentine, the saint.

people don't need a special day of the year to be romantic.
real romance (should come) comes naturally and
spontaneously.. or?

told a girl to fuck off when she said happy valentines day
and am planning to sit in the corner with drink and wallow
in my worthlessness.

no, it's cool : )

i don't give a flying fuck if i don't have a girlfriend (if
you think i'm straight) nor a boyfriend (if you think i'm
gay), i like to see some change from the usual, even if it's
as insignificant and commercial as those big flashy kitsch
pink hearts in the shops, heart-shaped chocolates and stuff.
