why do people automatically become so much more attractive once they become celebrities? I mean; I've seen girls that are hotter than most celebrities, but there's nothing quite like a celebrity, you know? |

I've honestly never felt like that in my life. If anything i think that airbrush-heavy images of The Famouses are just tawdry and a bit shit. It's hard to find someone attractive when there's a whole team of image consultants behind them pandering to male fantasies in the hope of making a bit of cash. |

My girlfriend meets a lot of minor celebrities in her job (she works in TV) and from what I can gather, a lot of them are fairly normal people, albeit they get away with being slightly more prima-donna-ish than most people. I've met quite a few music celebrities (I mean "proper" ones, not IDM chaps) and they range from extremely normal, to arrogant, self important idiot with a vastly inflated ego. As to the whole fascination with celebrities thing, I find it a bit odd. My flatmate spends about £30 a month on magazines about who is dating who, what diets Madonna is on, Britney's latest spiritual ideas, etc. Waste of time and money, pointless knowledge IMO. |

Yeah, it's shocking what good makeup artists can do. Someone I used to know did some of the makeup on Titanic and she (just for a laugh) made one of my mates look like an old man. No prosthetics, just standard makeup and a gray talc. Really scary results! |
