So, one of my jobs that I work is for FedEx, 3am-7am. I
park at this place, kind of in an 'industrial park' area,
just fields and these warehouses. I don't really keep
anything valuable in my car; I just leave it unlocked. It's
not even a target either, being a 20 year old bmw. But this
morning as I was leaving, I went to open the door and
noticed it wasn't shut all the way. Co-incidentally I had
remembered shutting it as I had to move the seatbelt (it is
loose and sometimes falls in the door). Still, I thought I
could have been mistaken. Then when I got in, I noticed my
glove box was open. Well, sometimes it does fall open, but
that's only when I'm driving and it's very noticeable, I
would have noticed it. Also the 'ashtray' (where I just
stick receipts mostly) was open. So. The faceplate to my
stereo was still there. But out of my glovebox, my portable
cd player was missing, which was holding Chiastic Slide. I
also had two CD books in the car, I can't even remember what
was in them, I think almost 100% burned CD's though, I don't
like to keep originals in there as they tend to get beat up.
Oh, I guess Smashing Pumpkins Melon Cholie was in there.
Dammit.

Hmm, fuckers.

noral of the story is don't leave your car unlocked. You
should know that really, just because it dosen't happen
often dosen't mean it won't.

Although chiastic slide is a bugger to get hold of in the
shops.

I once returned a hire van with a load of IDM tapes in the
glovebox. I only realised about a month later. Someone got a
musical education :D

I was thinking; it's the middle of nowhere, it's the middle
of the night, it's a dead end road, no traffic. Weird.
Probably one of my co-workers, bitches. I had a lot of Coil
in those burned CD's lol. Geogaddi, Music has the right...,
hmm, Stars of the Lid I think too.

the guy who stole it prolly listened to chiastic slide,
heard some crazy computer crashing sounds and fig'd the cd
player was broken and threw it away.

Actually the cd player was broken. It was really old, the
spring/hinge that holds up the lid was busted.

In similar news, I was mugged the other night and although I
was lucky enough to not have any money on me, I did have a
portable CD player (that was stolen) which happened to have
Tri Repetae in it at the time.

Mappatazee- Chiastic Sliowned.

A Guest- Tri Repetowned

That was a sad story, though. Once, somebody stole about 3
dollars worth of quarters from that little groove by the
gearshift where I keep excess change.

Luckily I haven't lost any records in "accidents" such as
this. But I like the idea of the thief going through the
loot and discovering stuff such as Chiastic Slide. It made
me think of a musical terrorist movement, where I burn a
shitload of cd's with excellent stuff on them and just leave
them in peoples houses or other places where they could be
discovered. Perhaps labelling them as Haddaway's greatest
hits
or Soft Rock/Ballads.
