actually darling, i've been coming here since the autechre.nu days, not just to check myself out. same as joyrex and tefosav which i used to be very heavily involved with. i don't post much cause i work a lot and i don't have a lot to say. i contribute here and there, when i get bored at home mostly. i don't remember acting like i'm the shit. quite the opposite in fact. it's fucking weird that you can build that picture up of me when i post so infrequently. digitonal is 3 of us. i'm not the violinist no. i'm the producer. i also write most of the material. but it's a collaborative effort. as most music made by bands is. i'm not digitonal. i'm andy from digitonal. to be honest, when I first read your posts about how much you hated us, i thought it was funny and some of the criticism was well founded. i made a lot of mistakes on 23thingsfallapart - it was my first record (and mostly my stuff as opposed to the band) and i've learnt a lot since then. i posted this thread cause i'm bored, tired and ratty today and i've got shit loads to do and can't be arsed. and i thought it was funny that you seem to be conducting a one-woman crusade against someone when you basically know fuck all about it. honey, i don't even give a fuck what I think about it half the time never mind 'some bitter hick from madison'. i just think you're funny, and quite sweet. let's just remember though who is going out of their way to criticise who here... tell you what...email me at andy at digitonal dot com and i'll send you a cd of new stuff, including the centre cannot hold ep...you can post a review if you like. or you can bin it. or wipe your ass with it. personally, I reckon it's alright, and, if you like melodic music, you'll get into it. *fucks off again* |

I didn't start the thread, so it's not really going out of my way, but what can I say, 23 Things is kind of a running joke in my household. I do bitch about a lot of music on here, ask anybody, but usually the artist doesn't show up to defend themself. It's kind of a bizarre situation -- I wouldn't expect autechre to tell me to fuck off when I reviewed draft! :) Congratulations, though, I'm glad to hear that you've improved and learned a lot. But seriously though, I haven't heard The Centre Cannot Hold besides Maris Stella (wasn't my thing at all), and I never claimed to have. I'll pass on it, but thanks for the offer.
