Would someone please clear up some board jargon haze I've been experience for the past few weeks.... fill me in on what exaclty imhotep (in my honest opinion something?) and GRUNTELS (spelled with ascii) mean. kthxbye. |

Imhotep Other Names: Imhetep. Patron of: architecture and the sciences. Appearance: a man dressed in the robes of a noble with the punt beard and carrying the tools of a builder. Not really a god in the truest sense of the word, Imhotep was a deified man. He was originally the chief architect, grand vizier, physician, and scientist under Zoser (III Dynasty, c.2635-2570 BC). He designed the Step Pyramid at Saqqara and formulated the architectural theories that would lead to the construction of the Pyramids of Giza only a few generations later. imhotep is just an egyptian dude, but its fun to say because it resembles imho, and imhotep was an incredibly smart dude who did a lot for egyptian culture and science. and sometimes its wise to add imho to a post. you get banned for the zaniest stuff these days. |
