Needs more counter melodies and chord changes. The
production is good as always, but I felt like it didn't
inspire me really. Needs to go somewhere or say something
more.

(oh btw I didn't listen to the track)

I'm going to make one of my pointless, psuedo
intellectual comments
, as usual, by saying it sounds
very polished and well produced, technically beyond even my
imaginings, but kind of, nothing of a nothingness. Could
equally have turned up as a filler on any compilation of any
genre of elecrtonica at any time over the past 12 years. I
thought Plaid had pretty much sewn up the inoffensive
decaffinated IDM market.

Sorry, i listened to it again and then I really liked it, so
ignore my above comments. In summary: a grower.

First of all, estetically, it doesn't work at all. You have
something going this way, and something else happening above
it, and the nature of the two parts interfere with
eachother. Too much contrast or not enough. And the two
parts are way too abrasive to allow for any harmony in the
first place.

In other words, work on your avatar to make it more
appealing, and I will check out your song.

taxi put it right. You need to decide where to lead the
track. or leave it for a while and then you'll know.
i like the first and the last minute.

amazing how many things are displeasing about it...good job

Not to my tastes. Sorry.

On the other hand.. Jeremy Beadle is crap at cards.

Anyway,

Sorry, I didn't like this. I normally like most stuff that
people post here but lately I haven't liked anything that
much. Strange. Maybe I'm getting fussy now I'm reaching 49.

you should listen a couple of times to it. maybe you'll
start to like it. most people say my tracks are "growers".

on a side note. I know most people don't like this kind of
goofy, happy sounding "idm". and I do know the melodies
aren't always in harmony but I like it that way. I don't
like music where everything is just perfect. it makes it
sound so souless. I'm not saying my music has soul...But I
do try giving it that (oooh I'm sounding so cheesy). I just
want to make happy music that puts a smile on peoples face
when they listen to it. (whipes away a tear)*

good point and good attitude - to make something positive.
nothing cheesy in that. it's cheesy for cheesy people who
make "cool", sad, unhappy shit music.

yeah it's just my browser adding that on the end for some
reason! (wamcom)

v. good track. i'm checking it on my powerbook speakers at
the moment, so i hear no bass, but you're filling up the
sound space nicely. Sounds a bit like a plaid/plone collab.

i'll check it on my zoundzyztem in a bit and give a fuller
review

so you're not from meWe le disque?

cool. I'd like that :)

>so you're not from meWe le disque?

nope. didn't know who or what it was untill I did a google
search 5 minutes ago. an indie label of some sort
appearantly.

checked upstairs - v. nice production and v. good structure.
bass suits it well.
my only advice (if you want any!) is to draw on more diverse
influences (there are more than 70 years of great recorded
music to check out!); it sounds a little bit too much like a
plaid/plone track

yeah this one turned out a bit too Plaid/plonish.
usually it doesn't sound like plaid THAT much. although
there is an influence. I think it's because it sounds
somewhat polished.

this is what I usually do. you can check it if your 56k
allows it LAZY_TITLE
