me boys Wisp and Milieu made an acid aplit ep called nine acid, and its badass, so im posting here about it. check it out!
Nine Acid is exactly that. Nine acid tracks from Vhom & Skønflap, formerly known as Milieu & Wisp. The songs were conceived over the course of a month, with each artists bringing his own style to the classic acid sound. Ranging from Wisp's mid-tempo spastic dance inducing numbers,to Milieu's darker abstract acid cuts. All of these songs are available courtesy of The Opaque Channel Ltd,and the artwork was done by JP Kramer (Tibbar),a watmm regular.
for more info regarding each artist, please visit
wisp supersite
and
milieu.experimedia.net
cheers folks

thanks to analord acid is cool again or something
ALSO
will the 'random' jumbling of letters to make track titles ever end?

i have been interested in acid, and been using it in my tunes long before Analord.. although i do enjoy those tunes. Not to say i am some acid revival pioneer..but i think for me,Ceephax had more to do with my interest in it that anything.

listening to track 1, I like it so far minus the "make it REAL good" sample.... im not into super-repetetive stuff like that, but otherwise I am a fan of your other work, especially "about things that never were" ;)
(btw, calipso kicks ass once it goes crazy!)

Its funny. Trance and acid seem to take their roots in the same branch of techno, but where trance took everything shit from it, acid seemed to take all the fun and style.
Trance is the new shit acid filter.
Heh... I remember thinking 'What the hell is this" when I used to play with rebirth. I never liked that hardware interface... up untill I started playing with reason. Acid will never die.

word. rebirth was damn fun to play with. I kind of feel dirty not making acid with the real deal 303. but not all of have those kinds of fun. just as long you dont overthink it,and have fun doing..then kudos.

if you like this, Wisp has another free EP on Earstroke.com which is on the acid/braindance tip available for free.
additionally, he has an album coming up called Nowhere Maps. its going to be some more of his traditional sounding adventure/renaissance type material which will be published on cd by Earstroke.
by the way, both Wisp and Earstroke have a mailing list. Earstroke's can be accessed in the info section on the site, and if you want on Wisps, send an email to [wispdrools][at][gmail.com] titled "WISP LIST"

The Skønflap tracks are excellent (I'm guessing that they are the Wisp ones), but the other ones are not so great though. Thank you for letting us know. Free music is nice, especially when it's good music.
