was excellent. Too bad I only have BBC Prime.

I have the first one on dvd, and i like it greatly, i have a
feeling the second series will be better still. But i will
have to wait until it's on dvd as I don't know what emule
is, apart from Rod Hul and Emule with an "l" misplaced.

Rod Hull would've surely been someone who could've said,
with utmost righteousness: "Talk to the hand.."

Funny, but not as good as the first series. And I can't
quite place why; it was ridiculous, but not always in the
right way. Still, I found it a lot better then a lot of shit
I watch nowdays. I love that bizzare humour (especially the
weird names and the way words are misspronounced)

You're right. I guess it's mostly because it's with
presenters now, rather than just a voiceover, that it didn't
seem as deadpan as the first series, but that was what I
loved most about it - where the first one seemed in almost
every way authentic (apart from the content, obviously) this
one was much more obviously a spoof, the jokes weren't as
funny, and a lot of the acting was ridiculously unnatural.
The bit that made me laugh the most was probably "Q) Who
composed 'Happy Birthday'? A) James Bond". Ha ha!

offline dave_g from United Kingdom on 2005-02-01 02:09 [#01483878]
Points: 3372 Status: Lurker

At the office of that pop and rock place, and the bloke
knocks on the door to leave and the guy says "go out". That
made me laugh so much.

Yeah series one was better because it was less obviously a
spoof, and was funnier. And reminded me of school science
videos but this wasnt half as good, still better than most
stuff I will sit through this week.

I agree about the deadpan being absent. It was good, tho. I
just now recognised one of the presenters, from
Spaced and Shaun of the Dead... only took me 15 hours!

I thought it was very lame for bbc and nowhere near as good
as the first series. That voiceover MADE the program what it
was in series one.

"germs germs germs"

There was some genous monets though but not enough and some
of the jokes were just awfull.

In fact, the website is a hell of a lot funnier - the quizez
are great.
BRING BACK THE VOICEOVER!

be a running thing throughout the series. Rubbish.

really destroying the Thants joke? Thats sick.

I think so, last week they had the ghost of Tchaikovsky as a
guest and it was "Thanks Tchaikovsky, thaikovsky", this week
they had a doctor and it was "Thanks doctor, thoctor", the
worst thing about it is that it's just one of the presenters
saying it straight to the camera, which I don't think works
at all.
