Venetian Snares - Winnipeg Is A Frozen Shithole

Got this today. As usual, quality sound of feeling like
someone's beating the shit out of you for 45 minutes.
Looking at the titles, he really isn't very happy about his
hometown.

Winnipeg is Steve Stapleton's Armpit

This is my least favourite Snares release. Sounds so rushed
given the concept involved. But whatever..

I've liked most of his output recently but this cd is not
his best. It's like a crappy, hurried version of Find
Candice or Infolepsy. He REALLY needs to try something
new... I'd like to hear him slow down his tempo and try to
use some of his tricks in a hip hop setting, and maybe work
out his melodies a bit more. I really feel that he has the
ability to make some great stuff if he tried.

That said, I'm looking foward to his new release, the one
that has all the orchestral synths on every track... It has
some long Hungarian name that I cannot remember right now.

Huge ever growing cylinder box was great...

I was never really interested in snarez when he was doing
the breakcore or noise stuff, cause generally breakcore is
more annoying than anything, and snarez isn't very good with
noise.

winnipeg as mandatory scat free is a fun track. I quite
like it. Not too keen on the rest of it so far though, but
I still have three tracks left to listen to.

I will agree that it's more of the same, but it still rocks
like a bitch.

And yes, the hungarian album sounds VERY promising.
