Thanks to the "can you cook" thread i have been inspired to get that New York Strip out of the freezer and have a wonderful lunch later today.
Does anyone here have a smoker? If so do you utilize it a bunch or does it collect the dusts of time?

Unfortunately we do not own a smoker. I do believe it is in the stars for this upcoming 2005 though. We dont make ribs enough here.
I also vote for more Elk and carribu. Good stuff says i!

This is the product that we own. It works wonderful. The "gas assisted charcoal". That is as close to a gas grill i will ever get.

nice, that must make great burgers! i just have the run of the mill gas griller - i am hoping to get a charcoal one later in the year, but i want a smaller one like a hibachi or something, so i can keep in inside and it wont get ruined.

I do alot. Now that is the winter months here, i dont grill as often. I still do though. I cant let the snow "cock block" my tastebuds.
:D
I can do indoor stuff as well but i really love grilling stuff up.

Grillwise
weber > anything
I am very curious about smokers though. Since i was watching the Food Network and they had this BBQ cookoff. It got me really interested. I really have never operated one though. I feel as it could be wonderful for the upcoming summer months.
Ribs on top, chicken underneath and beans on the bottom collecting all the juices! YUM!

"I also vote for more Elk and carribu. Good stuff says i!"
Careful- Elk is very likely a vector of prion-type diseases a-la mad cow, Jakob Cruzefeldt et all of which there is no cure and no person has recovered from them.
