In this thread I will post my music.

It's often just drum tracks and some experimental noise-ish
kind of stuff every once in a while. *note - most of the
stuff is not the greatest recording quality. usually that
fake split stereo actually mono kind of stuff.

Today's spam will be one of those experimental noise-ish
ones. I took a sample of the bass hit on a tb-808 and fed it
through various things.

one sound plus feedback

it sounds like a sound card taking a poop...

your track says a lot about computers and sound
cards taking a poop

this is not a bad thing, however

i uhm er, put a new song up. i was going to put a never
submitted track for xltronic vibes 13 up, but wire.fm won't
let me for some reason. this song uploaded with no problem
though.

it's a bit noise-ish with a drum pattern in the middle.

hey uh i see qrter is online, and since this track was
something i made for the classical vibes but never submitted
it, i thought i'd post it.

it's mp3.com.au so it should work for the peoples

you should've submitted it, you.

there's a bit much timestretching going on, it seems. using
timestretched material is kind of tricky, I think. it's like
reversed sounds - when I hear them I think "it's a reversed
sound", it's harder to just hear the sound itself. same goes
for timestretched sounds.

more my problem, really.

this I don't like that much. I don't get the structure.

again - could be just my problem though. :)

I quite like the loops on your wirefm thingy. nice and
crisp.

I don't mean this to sound condescending at all BUT have you
only recently started making music?

hey there qrter. thanks for the listens.

as far as the scrapped classical vibes, oddly enough, it's
actually a track reversed and played at half speed. i can
definitely hear the similarities to time stretching (or
perhaps what i did is the hardware equivalent to time
stretching) i feed a couple sounds (one was a string sample
from some old synth, thus my inspiration for classical
vibes. haha) and feedback through a boss digi delay guitar
pedal, into the reverse effect on a korg kaoss pad, then
into the audio in on a drum machine and applied the drum
machines delay to it. this all looped together. so now after
typing that out and reading it, i think that may be the
equivalent to a timestretch of some sorts. i've gone on a
bit too long about this.

i've been making music for about close to 3 year now. now
when i say music, i say it lightly. the amount of time and
effort i put into it is minimal, so i consider it just
messing around more than actual music. after a few months of
taking it seriously and realizing to due impatience, lack of
motivation, and lack of resources, i kind of gave up that
aspect. one of my first 'creations' (and i think a couple
thereafter) i posted here under my previous username,
pentyharmonium. it was rather amateur and hardly had enough
components to even be considered a track. the recording
quality was beyond awful. i had to crank my stereo almost
half up to hear it.

you had posted a response along with a couple others.

so uhm this is getting kind of lengthy so i'll just say
thanks again for listening :)

aha. you could've just timestretched it you know.. :P

only joking ha ha hah.

I didn't know you've been making music that long - I asked
because I can't remember you posting music before and
because you've uploaded loops unto your site - that's
something beginners tend to do who want to know if they
should even continue or not.

I can't remember your music under the name of
pentyharmonium. did I say nice things? or was I evil?

the loops kind of reminded me a bit of schematic - like
phoenecia before "brownout", around the "odd-job" era..

if i remember correctly you were rather considerate and
analyzed the track thoroughly. nice things as far as how to
improve, but i think at the time i took it in a bad way
(because i couldn't really take criticism)

it's odd you mention schematic, because the loops kind of
remind me of r devine a bit, and i can see the early
phoenecia as well
