it's been plastered over the music stations almost
CONSTANTLY over here, to buy as a ringtone.

it is annoying as hell - "knotsgekke kikker!"

they've now started trying to push some stupid animation of
a chick (the chicken kind) singing some silly song with a
high-pitched voice. you can feel the desperation behind it,
quickly trying to cash in on the self-created hype of the
knotsgekke kikker.

knotsgekke kikker = crazy frog right?

The thing that pisses me off is that there are people who
see the advertisement and go "OMG that is sooo cuuute!" and
actually pay for it.

*Vomits*

more or less.

gek = crazy.

knotsgek = crazy+, but in a disgusting, outmoded kind of
way.

It's purchased by the same kind of putrid human turds who
think they are just so hilariously off the wall as they over
use the word 'random' and insert the words 'pie' or 'monkey'
into phrases as if it injects their speech with some sort of
zany irreverent genius.

Actually, the more important question is why does that frog
have external genetalia at all?

it just about reaches the desperation factor of those
notorious sex phone line adverts on tv at night, which is
pretty damn high basically.

Oh MY GOD! I thought that commercial was only played in my
area, but I feel horrible that other people have had to see
that shit... I just don't see what the makers of that ad
hoped to achieve by using something so goddamn annoying.

dont let the crazy frog ad make you jaded about tv
advertising, there are some really great commercials out
there...like the one where coco the monkey rescues his dumb
animal friends from a crocodile in the jungle, then they all
sit down to a bowl of coco pops, even though its not
breakfast time! brilliant!

most.

which is more or less ALL of them.

the worst thing is:

The crazy frog was created many years ago by the most stupid
swede in existance... it was then spread over the internets
and now Jamba have got a hold of it and are selling it
without giving any money to the stupidest swede in
existance... serves him right, but Jamba are also making
TONS of money and I hope his lawsuit leads them to ruin!
FRUFCKRFUCKFRUCKFUCKFUCKFCUFKCUFK!

#1 rule of advertising.

Stupid adds stick in the audiences head better than boring.
If you can't be clever (the ideal kind of add), then be
stupid. The most effective kind of stupid adds are the ones
that seem like they are trying to be clever but fail
miserably. Its really quite brilliant, actually (not the
add, but the technique).

i think they've hardly worried about being funny and im
pretty sure they make tons of money with this mobile phone
stuff. especially seeing this frog has gone international

this isn't about name branding though.

the add IS the product - what you buy is exactly what the
add is.
