GENIOUS!!!
lots of great tracks in here
at the beggining i started with number 13... 9 is very good
but 10 is astonishing... and lots more... every track is
surprising... the whole cd advances in a continuous
progression and evolution of sounds... man !!!

yeah that is one awesome listen... 8, 9 and 10 flow
perfectly

i highly enjoy that album, such an awesome beginning and a
whole smooth sound

is PLAID just one guy or a bunch or what?
I know nothing about them, maybe thats a good thing though

Plaid are two guys.
Get Restproof Clockwork if you haven´t got it!

why dont you update it?
I imagine you are very busy, but it would be awsome to have
a place to search for plaid information too... and if its
made by you better... I like your work here in the aphex
community

brilliant. Also Trainer is amazing.

Hmm, i like plaid and double figure has some cool stuff on
it, but it sounds kind of cheesy at times, IMHO.

its nice melodic-commercial-listenable album, but it cant
compare with rest proof clockwork, which is an out-of-time
masterpiece!

That's something that's always puzzled me... Plaid's tunes
are very easy/ very commercial... but you just don't see
them in the charts or anything. Porquoi? (ps I don't see
getting in the charts as a good or bad thing... just a...
thing...)

When they played New Family (track 9) live it was fkin
awesome.

it took me a lot to enjoy this album ...I was still in the
mood of rest proof clockwork, and double figure is very
different...now I love it,very particular...one of the best
of 2001

is double figure the best plaid album to get first?

offline digital messiah on 2002-04-21 18:48 [#00187439]

probably
cuz its the most commercial

good question. i dont have any of their albums either.

anyone?

offline Riccardo from somewhere beyond the ultraworl on 2002-04-21 18:52 [#00187448]

definetly not..it's the most difficult to listen to...not
for threes is excellent with vocals by bjork and
nicolette...I started with rest proof and I loved it
immediately..

i dont understand u ricardo....not for threes has vocals on
3 tracks ??
and why do u think double figure is difficult to listen
to?,i think its the most commercial plaid stuff in their
whole career....

whats up with the term 'commercial' all of a sudden? If i
want commercial music, i'll buy a michael jackson cd. :\
