Actually it isn't centered exactly because the gimp insists on making the grid some bizarre number of odd pixels or something so I had to put it a pixel to the right. This one didn't take very long and is just simple grow/shrinking thing in 4 quadrants, then rotated 45 degrees, as if this wasn't obvious.
