aphex is obviously the best

Thinking about that thread a few days ago by tolstoyed,
asking 'who's better, ae or afx?'. 70% of people said ae.
I'm now thinking would there ever be this much hype about an
ae lp? Analord has sent everyone crazy, not just on here but
on slsk. Aphex is obviously loved more.

as i said in the other thread..autechre are very brave
people if they intend to put out their album this year :)

Hmm, wait until the hype dies down and it will be back to
parity...autechre are more than capable of matching analord.

it will be almost 1 year of hype (releasing of analord will
last until summer and beyond...)...

that's a good way of putting it

they're both big guns in the electronic music scene though
they sound miles apart. there's no use comparing the two.
looking forward to more analord and the new ae lp. 2005 is
shaping up to be a good year.

another important thing for me is that there are hardly any
people who can come close to what aphex twin is doing,
whereas there are hundereds of artists doing the same thing
as autechre - i.e. 'exploring the sound'.

yeah i dunno if ae are the ound and Afx the music...
ae are as much the music as the sound, and afx equaly..

they are just very different. . .
i'd say that Aphex is more into Wizardry.... His music makes
me feel like he is a pure music wizard...

As for autechre.... When i listen to their stuff... It makes
me feel as if they are the most intelligent music makers
around. they stretch the limits as much as possible... and
always find new ways of dealing with things...

i love both their music too much to say who is best
though...
they are equal... but very different... "point" :)

yeah... autechre are harder to get into...
harder to get musically... you gotta have really well
developed ears.
as for Aphex... It's pretty much straight forward.
Made for a bigger audience i'd say... :)

Autechre is more difficult, harder to like and harder to get
into than Aphex Twin, that's probably why Aphex Twin is more
popular than Autechre here... but still, if there was an
Autechre "Analord-like" release released, there would be a
lot of fuss about it as well anyway.

( none of them aren't that great in my opinion
anymore now, and even i was still in my "Aphex Twin period"
i would have thought there was too much talk about it... and
frankly, if there hasn't been JAroen's ftp, i wouldn't even
have bothered downloading Analord10 (like i didn't bother
downloading Draft 7.30)... but this messageboard is about
them mostly, so it's normal that there is a lot of talk
about it! we just have to get over it : ) )

Aphex is much much better when compared to AE. Honestly AE
have a like 6 good tracks. when compared to Aphex who has
like 70 good tracks.
