I) I'm Alan Partridge. Features Include: Audio Commentary
from Alan Partridge himself, with Lynn! Very funny. Also has
A.C. by Coogan and Ianucci et al.

II) THX 1138. For only £9.99, we get: Audio Commentary from
George Lucas, proper documentary about the beginnings of
American Zoetrope! Documentary about the making of THX,
Lucas' student film on which THX was based!! Plus some more
stuff! Fantastic quality!

Please, put any other DVDs with great special features here!

the Alien Quadrilogy set.

the Lord of the Rings films.

24 hour party people.

Simpsons sets. (well.. every episode has a commentary
track..)

Futurama sets (well.. every episode has a commentary track..
but these are funnier than on the Simpsons sets!)

Little Britain.

..there's loads more.. let me think..

Little Britain has good Features, yep.

I was disappointed by Kill Bill, vol.s 1 & 2. No sign of a
Tarantino commentary - is he too good for that? Are we not
worthy?

My Plan 9 From Outer Space DVD included commentary and information on
some individual actors. It sort of clarifies why the movie
was as bad as it was.

The Zombie Commentary looked good on paper but wasn't so
hot! But the Production Notes Subtitles were most
interesting!

The adam & joe dvd has some awesome extras (early "arty"
films featuring a young louis theroux of all people). I'm
not generally one for watching director's commentaries and
all that business though.

I love commentary tracks.

they can be very entertaining and/or informative. there are
some real stinkers, but you recognise those quick enough.

John Carpenter's are almost always Qualité. Bought The Fog
the other day. Disappointingly, Assault on Precinct 13 has
been stripped of its US features for UK release! Fucking
Awful! And Dark Star has almost NO features at all...
disgusting!

And... today I bought The Day Today DVD for my brother's

that so-called re-release of "dark star" on dvd was
ridiculous.

I've been a tad disappointed by the Harry Potter special
features... they seem to have been cobbled together with
minimum of time and imagination! :(

I enjoyed the first one but I haven't had a chance to
properly look at hte other two. On paper them seem good
though :S

Cannibal: The Musical has an amusing commentary track.
Basically they got drunk as they did it :D

Ah yes I remember seeing that film on CH4 late night once.
Are you looking forward to their new puppet movie?

Yes, yes I am. If only got puppet sex and to see what tunes
they've come up with this time. The tunes in the South Park
movie were fantastic and really made me smile.

You looking forward to it?

the cast were going to do commentaries in-character for The
Day Today but I think it went so terribly they aborted it
half way through. The highlights of these sessions are
scattered around the DVD as easter eggs.

how about the momento special dvd, where you can watch the
entire movie in reverse, which is normal order because the
film is in reverse
