Hey everyone...being a child of the early 80's I enjoyed both of these toys...had tons of em.... Anyone have/had a preference?... I always liked the bad guys...Decepticons and Cobra.... |

I prefered the Autobots coz the Decepticons lacked decent characters. Ratchet and Prowl were my favs... Shockwave was my favourite Decepticon tho. I never played GI Joe. |

i remember here in germany they were all into he-man at that time ... hated it - i was more into mask and transformers (yeah, i really loved them :)) - then i became a lego-technic guy ... hmmm, yeah, that were the days ;A |

transformers are great. i still have the red lamborghini autobot somewhere. does anyone remember dinobots? i had the triceratops called "slag." why did they call it slag. i have the transformers movie too. that was well ace. |

I liked the ones where there were five little robots who could transform into one big robot. Metroplex and Triptacon were also my favourites but they were too expensive for me. I was dreaming about them all the time. I had more Autobots than Decepticons so I probably prefered Autobots. Great stuff |

I had Astrotrain and Stinger, the triplechangers. I also had the box set of 5 Autobot Airplanes that formed a giant Robot. I also hd the Autobot base that was in the movie. What was that called? I cant remember... :( |

The Autobots/ Decepticons were the Transformers. I think he was thinking of Voltron... 5 Lion robots that formed the limbs of a HUGE robot..... Maybe I am wrong. |

What about the small little -"knowing is half the battle"- skits at the end of the GIJoe episodes.... I personally like the one where Bazooka finds two youngs kids playing with a live downed power line....and scolds them on the dangers I mean cmon, It was classic television |

Ever see the Transformers movie? I used to cry when Megatron killed Optimus... And also when the Decepticons take over the Autobot ship and kill everybody, and there's smoke coming out of their mouths and eyes And it's gross when Serpentor stabs Duke with his staff in the GI Joe movie. |

Powermaster Optimus Prime was my hero! (I had a toy of it) Yeah, Mask is also very cool; I had about 3 tons of Mask and Transformer stuff. I almost forgot the GI-Joe stuff... BTW my first reaction on V5: I must say I really like to see pics of everyone. Maybe, some day, I will send a pic....(not possible right now) Some hours ago I wasn't registered yet so I was one of those mysterious guests...man I felt like a ghost. |

I had this great Dome-shaped Cobra airbase, and a peach-colored transforming GI Joe base. My mom threw them away and I wouldn't talk to her for weeks. |

someone mentioned a red lamb. car which is Sideswipe(one of my favorites). I just recently won an auction on ebay where I got all 98 episodes of the transformers on video tape(my girlfriend wasn't happy). my favorites were soundwave, prowl, bluestreak, perceptor, skywarp...to many others to list. someone earlier mentioned the scene in the movie which megatron and his pals take out four of the autobots for good. did anyone else think it was pretty bogus that one of the constructicions with his weak ass gun took out prowl with one shot. and GI Joe I've still got all my figures. snake-eyes fans remember all the different versions of him. storm shadow, firefly, stalker. always hated he-man though. |
