IE opening MP3s?

When I click on an MP3 in Internet Explorer on this
machine, Internet Explorer attempts to open the file within
the browser instead of giving me the option to save. I have
to resort to right clicking and choosing 'save target as' -
this lessens my productivity.

Helph!

is this going to save you...a minute per day? :)

Well, according to my calculations, .03915 seconds. So you
can see the severity of th is issue.

I think you can adjust it under advanced internet options. I
use Firefox so I cant tell you how to do it offhand,
unfortunately.

it's always been like this for me?!

i would get annoyed if it automatically downloaded every mp3
i loaded...

its annoying, i got rid of that (sorry i forgot how,i'm sure
its under 'internet options') but lately its been just
opening files without asking me where i want to save them.

you have to change some options in quicktime. I forget which
options exactly, and I'm not on my usual computer, but this
is what worked for me when I had the same problem.
