Has anyone actually done this successfully?
I came across this excellent website.
I have never experienced Lucid Dreaming before, but I am
starting to write down my dreams when I wake up.

i have frequent lucid dreams. it's not even cool to me
anymore. the novelty is gone. now it's like "oh, i'm
dreaming. i guess i'll go fuck some hot women and then fly
around just like last time!"

Here is a good website

Also there are a couple of real good threads on this that
popped up here before. Alot of interesting stories and
experiences.

I was born with this beautiful gift. Not much effort
required on my part.

I am working on traveling through mirrors

i do it often. when i get home from lectures i just lie in
bed and usually have one.

The moment your 'go under' its the strangest thing in the
world. you feel your body flop, like a sudden change in
direction, then you have to think about not waking up, then
run around and do whatever you want.

weird. i just had a lucid dream for the first time last
night/this morning. i remember reading up on it and watching
the movie 'waking life', and in my dream i looked at a
digital clock or something and the the numbers were barely
there, all flickering and burnt-out. i was then able to make
stuff appear out of nowhere, basically. but it was tricky.
sort of like trying to clearly imagine something in your
mind, and the image seems to sort of flicker and distort,
and become blurred.

anyway, it was interesting. but i was awakened shortly
thereafter because i needed to take a piss.

Yeah 'Waking Life' is something you should definately watch
if youre interested in the concepts surrounding lucid
dreaming.

I can do it but only rarely and I wake up within a few
seconds.

I tend to enjoy those wierd uncontrolled dreams. I have
tried lucid dreaming, but I couldn't make it work properly.
I think it's best to let the brain process occurences and
such without lucid interference.

errh.. is lucid dreaming something you can actively DO?

My dreams are mostly me, alone, standing still in some
place, looking around...

I had a friend who was into this thing some years ago. He
ruined his studies completely because he had so much focus
on how to sleep right. He used to sleep a few hours, and
then try to reach this borderline-sleep the rest of the
night. He ended up as a total sleep deprived wreck, and
became quite mad for some time.

It depends how tired/deep asleep I am really, not all my
dreams are lucid

Alot are though and boy are they fun
