i would have to say Steve Roach

he makes the most astounding atmospheric/spacy/nature/
synths. it envelops your entire sense of hearing.
beautifully epic and warm, or totally desolate and scary.
his melodies (when there are some) are very enjoyable,
played by worldwide instruments ive never even heard of and
synths.
the drum beats are tribal, all live recorded with real drums
of worldwide variety. i mean, this guy is amazing. over 25
years and still going strong, loads of albums.
im sharing some of his stuff on slsk.
KreLian Beargo grap these ones if you like for an intruduction.
the grotto of time lost from strata album
the dream circle from dream circle album
on this planet from on this planet
touch from soma

well, hehe there are quite a few.
dont miss out on the best ambience ever

steve roach is great. - i strongly recommend his
collaborations with VIDNA OBMANA... less tribal, even more
drone.

For people who likes agressive but melodic electronica, I
would like to recommend Martin Horntveth. He is the drummer
in Jaga Jazzist, and an excellent knob twiddler. He has
released two EP's called "Fast Motion" and "Skull EP" on
Smalltown Supersound. He is making the best scandinavian
electronica at the moment, imo.

matt elliot... mess we made. barely ever hear people talking
about this album, and its amazing. Its out of print, so
nobody should feel guilty about downloading it.

I don't know the availability on SLSK, since I've bought his
stuff, but give it a try. Also tell me what you think. I've
mentioned him several times before, and have never gotten
any feedback. It's frustrating, when I know that a lot of
people here would love his music.

interesting stuff. this sounds pretty much different from
Jaga Jazzist ! :)

btw, Sole off Skull EP reminds me of Steinbolt a bit.

Steve Roach is awesome. I only have his "soma" album, which
is a collab with him and Robert Rich? I need to get some
more stuff...

Artists that deserve to be heard: Ilkae's new album is
insanity. The samples dont do it justice, buy this
album!

Martin is truly the king of the electronic scene in Norway.
His live shows are the best thing. Imagine a hyperactive kid
with loads of gadgets and movements of epileptic
proportions.

Side note: I shared a cab with him and his label boss a few
years ago after some festival. Funny chaps :)
