anyone have any experience using Korg's Electribe? i'm
looking for something similar, with a nice range of bass
(smooth, clean sounding to grimey, dark sounding) as well as
a nice array of effects, etc.

any suggestions, warnings, etc? i have a Dell 1ghz PC, so
softsynth w/ a midi keyboard is about ruled out for now.

I used them back in the day...

They are nice for oldschool acidy sounds but not much else

i played with one the other day that had some nice electro
sounds to it. i really liked a few of the effects, but
checking out equipment with your girlfriend doesn't leave
much time for real use/involvement.

i need new sounds and i'm going to come into some money
soon. i guess i should just save my money and get a new
computer, go with the softsynth shit. i'm so tired of using
a computer though. i need a hands on approach and midi seems
kind of fickle.
