Nope. deviantArt takes forever to load on 56k, and most of
the work i've seen there isn't to my taste at all.

it does take forever to load on 56k though... hooray for
100mbit! :D

that's the general problem with deviantart - it's pages take
forever to load.

great idea - make a site where people can host pictures and
then make the site itself slow as fuck.

progressing artistic expression*: LAZY_TITLE

This is absolutely one of the most annoying websites I have
ever seen.

I have been a member for ages. I'm not as active as I used
to be though as deviantart seems to have filled up with 14
year olds posting snapshots taken with their digital
cameras.

I don't mind that, as long as they're *good* snapshots :P

Anyway, it's my first day as a member there and what I
really like are the forums, which seem to be insanely busy
all the time. No more refreshing xlt every 15 seconds for
new posts! ;)

I have been looking for something like this. I'm looking for
artists to hire for my company. In the vein of Mark Ryden
and Marion Peck. Are there other places that showcase
artists' work?

I don't submit anything, but I've been a user at this site
for years, I love it. It's definitely got an overabundance
of 14 year old anime fans, but there's some beautiful stuff
to be found on there with a little digging, very talented
people.

Bogala- shit, I used to have some similar sites bookmarked,
but for some reason I can't find them. But look on devart's
first page, I think they have some affiliates and random
links to some good shit.

The bad news is, yes, I'm her webmaster, so no, she didn't
comment on your stuff.

The good news is, I can easily get her to take a look ;)
